Nicanor Leonaldo Zamora

Nicanor Leonaldo Zamora went to be with our Lord on January 14, 2020 at the age of 68.  He was born on January 10, 1952 in Corpus Christi, Texas and was a lifetime resident..  He lived his life as a pastor, along with his wife, at Programa Por La Fe.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, mentor, Christian DJ radio talk host, and musician. He served his country in the Navy Reserves for 11 years.  We thank the Lord for his service to our country.  He will be missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ignacio Zamora, and mother, Juanita Vega.

Nicanor was survived by his wife of 18 years, Celestina Zamora; his son, Erick Andy Zamora; three sisters, Alicia Rhodes, Barbie Coles, and Isabel Garcia;

three step-daughters, Norma Gonzales (Juan Gonzales), Erma Canales (Pete Canales), and Brenda Torres (Alex Torres); grandchildren, Jessica Villareal, Robert Torres, Pedro Canales, Johnathan Gonzales, Bryan Canales, Arianna Ocanas, Sarah Ocanas, Aleah Gonzales, Jazmyn Gonzales, Mia Torres, Alex Torres Jr, Jaydan Torres, and Madison Torres; great-grandchildren, Noah Gonzales, Elijah Villareal, Brandon  Canales, Zayhlee Canales, Enoch Villareal, and James Gonzales.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port; with a prayer service to be begin at 7:00 pm. A chapel service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020, at 8:30 am at Treviño Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
