Eric R. Boyd

Eric Roger Boyd was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at the age of 47. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Eric was full of life; he loved to joke around with everyone and he was the life of the party. Eric was a very generous man who would give the shirt off his back. He was a very hard worker and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Eric loved his family and friends; he loved to barbecue, loved the Houston Texans, and enjoyed Trashing the Dallas Cowboys. Most importantly, Eric loved the Lord, Jesus Christ. He will be deeply missed by all whom loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Ralph Boyd.

Eric is survived by his mother, Alicia Boyd; siblings, Dolores (Abel) Acevedo, Brenda (Carl) Johnson, Bruce (Tammy) Boyd, Dora (Jeremiah) Boyd-Bourelle, Ralph Richard Boyd, Bertha (Robert) Cantu, and Jason Boyd; and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a chapel service beginning at 2:00 PM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
