Marcus Allen Johnson

Marcus Allen Johnson, 40 passed away and went to be with our Lord on Friday, June 27, 2014 in Corpus Christi, Texas after a Lengthy battle with cancer. He was born October 31, 1973 to Jim Johnson and Colleen Castanie Johnson in Houston, Texas. Marcus graduated from King High School; then moved to Austin, TX where he met his wife. They moved to Groton, CT in 2007. Marcus recently moved back to Corpus Christi to be with family. Marcus loved to cook; loved talking and spending time with family and friends. He was a cat and people person. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnny and Kay Johnson, and Roland Castanie Sr. of Texas City, TX. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Amanda Kelly Johnson of Groton, CT; mother, Colleen Castanie Leisch of Lake Buchanan, TX; grandmother, Lois Castanie of Lago Vista, TX; father, Jim Johnson; step-mother, Shana Grimes Johnson; sisters Rebekah Kay Johnson, and Leah Rene' Johnson of Corpus Christi, TX; and numerous aunts uncles and cousins that loved him dearly. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 10:00 am at Yorktown Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, TX.
