Micaela B. Perez, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away on August 19, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on January 7, 1950, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Micaela's life was a tapestry of devotion to her family, passion for her interests, and an unwavering spirit of generosity.

Micaela spent her childhood in the warm embrace of Corpus Christi, where she was lovingly raised by her parents, Candelario and Juanita Reyes. Her formative years were filled with the rich traditions and close-knit community that would later shape her into the remarkable woman she became. It was here that she met and married her lifelong partner and friend, Trinidad Perez Sr. Together, they built a life full of joy, challenges, and enduring love.

Although Micaela was preceded in death by her treasured son, Jaime Perez, and her dear parents, she leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be cherished by her family. Her husband, Trinidad Perez Sr., remains a testament to their enduring partnership. Her children, Jose Angel Perez, Trinidad Perez Jr., Serena Perez, Angela Perez, Romeo Perez, and Mariah Barrera will carry forward her spirit of kindness and passion.

Micaela's life was marked by her loving nature. She was a woman who created a home filled with warmth and acceptance, where laughter was the music of the house, and every holiday was a celebration of togetherness. Her children and their accomplishments were her pride, and she supported each of them with an unwavering belief in their dreams.

Micaela’s family will receive condolences on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave., with a Holy Rosary to begin at 1:30 PM. A Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park at 2:30 PM. Services will conclude that afternoon.
