Roslyn Raylyn Ramon passed away on November 13, 2021, at the age of 20. Roslyn was just starting life and was sadly taken from us too early. Forever young and beautiful, we love you, Roslyn. Rest in peace sweet baby girl.
Roslyn graduated from WB Ray High School in 2020. During her years in high school, she participated in wrestling and Police Explorers. She was the elected President of the Social/Print Media organization and she traveled throughout Texas as the Youth and Government State President. She also received many awards in high school such as the CCPD Tenure Award and the CCPD Basic Law Enforcement Certificate.
She was currently employed at PetSmart as a dog trainer and enjoyed working with animals. She loved to draw and paint and was a very strong, positive, independent, tough, and determined kid. She was known to be big-hearted, goofy, and spontaneous and was always the jokester and loved for her over dramatic facial expressions. She was also a peacemaker.
Roslyn had recently been diagnosed with and was battling thyroid cancer and had undergone two rounds of radiation therapy.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ruben A. Ramon, and her sister, Jessie D. Ramon.
She is survived by her family that will cherish her memories always; mother and step-father, Jessica and Abel Fuentes, Jr.; father, Randy Ramon; sisters, Randi Rose Ramon, Maria Isabel Salinas (Mark), Nayeli Fuentes, Amirra Lexus Fuentes, and Abigail J. Fuentes; brothers, Alberto Abel Fuentes and Abel Fuentes III; maternal grandparents, Juanita S. Garza (Richard Rios) and Alberto Moreno (Genoveva); paternal grandmother; Mary Ramon; step paternal grandparents, Maria De la Cruz and Alberto De la Cruz; aunts and uncles, Melanie Ramon (Rick Webb), Melinda Douglas (Anthony), Eyvonne Botello (Luis), Lucia Moreno (Eriberto Cantu), Alberto Botello, Monica Rocha (Ronnie), Javier Martinez (Lori); dogs, Maximus “ Max” and Penny Lee; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave; with a Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM that evening. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Trevino Funeral Home at 12:30 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 1:30 PM for Rite of Committal and Christian Burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
