Abel Hinojosa, Sr.

Abel Hinojosa Sr. of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on February 19, 2023, at the age of 53. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Abel was a huge Steelers fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, eating his mom’s chicken and dumplings, and turning on his pit for some BBQ. Abel had a free soul and enjoyed the fresh air out in the country. He loved nature, fishing, hunting, and the beach.

Left behind to cherish Abel’s memories are his parents, Ramon and Olga Hinojosa; children, Abel Hinojosa Jr. and Ashley (Brandon) Hinojosa; stepson, Anthony LaCour; siblings, Tina Garcia (Arturo), Ray Hinojosa (Cathy +), Rena Garcia (Johnny Cantu), Jerry Hinojosa (Maggie), Larry Hinojosa (Elisa Ramirez), Tom Hinojosa (Tracy Trevino), Priscilla Smithwick, Valerio Recio (Joe), and Vanessa Hinojosa; girlfriend, Sara Mumphord; four granddaughters, Mariah Robledo, Brianna Robledo, Gisele Robledo, and Riley Hinojosa; his pet dog, Shamu; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara Port Ave. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM followed by Liturgy of the Word at 7:30 PM. Services will conclude in the chapel that evening.
