Acencion "Chon" Silvas

Acencion "Chon" Silvas, age 56, passed away on March 27, 2016. He was born on November 15, 1959 in Sinton, Texas. He was a loving father, and grandfather. Chon loved his family and worked as a boil maker in the refineries; he also enjoyed fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He is preceded in death by his father, Rodolfo Silva Sr.; mother, Sara Silva; brothers, Rodolfo Jr., Armando; and brother-in-law, Pete Quiroz. Chon leaves behind his loving children, Melinda Silva (Patrick), Belinda Silva (Nick), Melissa Silva (Jose), Stephanie Silva (Israel); 12 grandchildren; brother, Albert (Rosemary) Silva; sisters, Yolanda (Gus) Flores, Diana Quiroz, Herlinda Silva (Bea); and the mother of his children, Bertha Silva. Visitation will be held at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara at Port, on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, from 10 am to 2 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
