Adolfo Canales Moreno, age 72, of Beeville, Texas, passed away on April 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in 1952, Adolfo lived a full and purposeful life, marked by hard work, ambition, and deep devotion to those he loved. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 6 years. After his honorable discharge from his Marine Corps, he built a career as both an insurance agent and a correctional officer—roles he took great pride in, always approaching his work with dedication and integrity.
Adolfo had a true passion for travel and found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. Whether it was sharing stories, making memories on the road, or simply being present, he cherished every moment. He was notorious for his numerous daily phone calls to all his family and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Epifanio and Benita Moreno, and his siblings, Tony Sanchez, Amada Salinas, Daniel Moreno, David Moreno Sr, Epifanio Moreno Jr, Genoveva Fernandez, Perla Moreno, and Adelfa Moreno.
He is survived by his loving wife, Hilda Moreno; siblings, Marina Salinas and Mario Moreno; sisters-in-law, Martha Moreno, Celina Moreno, and Gloria Moreno; children, Melissa Soliz, Jason Moreno (Kristin), and Monica Hernandez (Wesley); and stepdaughters, Jakelin Perez (Marc), Wendy Rodriguez (Jesse), and Celeste Castillo. Adolfo was a proud grandfather to Abigail (Kyle), Steven (Faith), Angelina, Bryanna, Wesley Jr. (Tati), Brendan, Marcus, Emery, Elora, Jeremiah, Mia, Jake and Asher. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Genesis, Sienna, Romeo and Trey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered for his strength, independence, and unwavering worth ethic. With a sharp sense of humor and a heart full of love, he made it a point to call his friends and family every day just to check in a simple act that meant the world to so many. His daily calls, laughter, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Adolfo’s family will receive condolences Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St., from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM; with Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Friday, May 2, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM with a Prayer Service to begin at 9:30 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
