Adolfo Cardona Jr.

Adolfo Cardona Jr., affectionately known as AC to his family, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025 surrounded by family. He was born on August 19, 1963 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Adolfo is survived by his devoted mother, Elisa Lopez Cardona, who cherished every moment with her son; his father, Adolph Cardona Sr.; his sister, Christy Cardona; and his nephews, Bryant Tabor and Matthew Tabor who adored him. His memory will also be held dear by his son, Mark Luna.

Adolfo was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Tereso Cardona, whom he missed so very much, as well as his paternal grandmother, Isabel Cardona and his maternal grandmother, Juanita Zepeda; along with many other uncles & cousins whom he dearly missed.

AC was a believer in Christ and was always trying to have a closer walk with Him. His warm presence and friendly demeanor made him a cherished son, brother, father, and uncle.

AC and his sister, Christy Cardona, shared a special bond filled with cherished memories and moments of laughter. AC enjoyed listening to classic rock and liked playing guitar. He enjoyed the simple things in life, like taking a ride to the beach or visiting the Bayfront to soak in the beautiful view. AC's nephews, Bryant and Matthew, will fondly remember their uncle for the love he showed them, his funny stories and the jokes that had everyone laughing. His many aunts, uncles, and cousins will miss the laughter and love that AC brought into their lives as well. Those who knew AC will remember him as a funny, gentle, and friendly man who always wanted to lighten the mood with a good laugh.

AC's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who loved him, but his spirit will remain a guiding light in their lives. As we bid farewell to Adolfo Cardona Jr., we celebrate the time we were fortunate enough to share with him. The memories he created will continue to bring joy to those who loved him.

Adolfo Cardona Jr.'s journey on this earth may have ended, but his memory will live in our hearts always.

A Memorial Service honoring Adolfo’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave., from 2:30 PM until 7:00 PM. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM. Services will conclude that evening.
