Alfredo Hinojosa Jimenez "El Capitan"

Alfredo H. Jimenez “El Capitan”, 68, passed away on May 18, 2018. He was born in Alice, Texas on June 23, 1949. He was a graduate of Mary Carroll High School. Alfredo joined the US Army on December 1, 1969 and served our Country thru November 26, 1971 leaving with an Honorable Discharge. His parents were Antonio and Eva Vangelina Jimenez of Alice, Texas. Alfredo worked for the House of Meat where he met the love of his life, Consuelo Ayala and were joined in marriage for 44 years. He also worked for Eddie Tobar Construction until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. He loved music and watching western movies, but he especially enjoyed discovering what surprise awaited for him in every Lotto Scratch Off Ticket. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Eva Vangelina Jimenez. Alfredo is survived by his wife, Consuelo Ayala Jimenez; daughters, Reverend Veronica (Reverend Isaac) Rangel, Monica (Alberto) Salinas, Leslie (Jeremy) Garcia; son, Alfredo Jimenez, Jr.; sister, Alice (Clint) Watkins; brothers, Antonio (Carmen) Jimenez, Armengol (Bonnie) Jimenez, Alee (Pat) Jimenez; aunt, Patsy Hinojosa; 14 grandchildren and first great-grandchild on the way; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive condolences on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. at Port.; with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 9:30 am at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel.
