Alfredo De La Garza Jr.

Alfredo De La Garza Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on February 22, 2022, at the age of 70. He was born on July 19, 1951 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Alfredo and Aurora De La Garza.

Alfredo served in the United States Marine Corps and United States Navy. He loved his country and was a very proud veteran. He had an excellent reputation and was decorated with many honors and awards. Alfredo was a kind and caring man who will be missed by all who knew him.

Alfredo is preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Aurora De La Garza.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his beloved wife of 40 years, Romina De La Garza; his children, Oscar (Brooke) Gracia, Alejandro (Leticia) De La Garza, Jenicia De La Garza, and Orlando Nicolas De La Garza; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his siblings, Maria Elena (Jim) Thomas, Abelardo (Esther) De La Garza, Alma Elizabeth (David) Garcia, Rosario De Fierro, Leticia De La Garza, and Linda Pineda; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave; with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 PM. Family will continue to receive condolences on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Trevino Funeral Home. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 9:15 AM for Rite of Committal and Interment at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
