Alice Sandra Faye Lopez Molina, better known as Alicia, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on June 13, 1952, in Alice, Texas, she was a lifelong resident who left an indelible mark on her community.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Manuel and Lilly Lopez; her children, Melva “Melvita” Molina, Oscar “Okie” Buentello Jr., Ivy Molina Tamez, and Amy Lee Molina Morales; and siblings, Janie Nava, Jesse Lopez, Jose "Pale" Lopez, Lily "Sweetie" (Marcos) Rios, Cynthia Hernandez, and Elva "Cookie" (Homero) Chapa.

Alicia is survived by her children, Priscilla (Paul) Duarte, Israel (Roxanne) Molina III, Roberto "Don" (Belly) Molina, Rolando (Nikki) Pena, and Rebecca (Joe) Cabello. Her spirit will continue to live on through her grandchildren who were the love of her life, Josh, Chelsy, Sarina, Ally, Paul Jr, and Erik Duarte, Promise, Genna, and Heaven Molina, Taylor, RJ, Evan, Dustin, Arabella, Kage, and Kane Molina, Gavin, Isabela, and Hailey Morales; and her great-grandson whom she raised as her own, Arylo Tamez; siblings, Gloria “Male” (Adolfo) Buentello, Olga Serna and Paula Delcampo; sisters-in-law, Nelda Lopez and Janie Lopez; brother-in-law Carlos Hernandez; son-in-law, Ernest Morales; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.

A proud graduate of the class of 1969 from William Adams High School, Alicia's dedication to education was only the beginning of her lifelong commitment to service. Her career was as diverse as it was impactful, from her early days as a social worker to her various roles that included a salesclerk at Bob Hays Western Store, a custodian and bus driver for the Alice Independent School District, a home health provider and cuisine manager at the Marriott in Corpus Christi, and a custodian for several local hotels. Alicia was the epitome of a jack of all trades, with a work ethic that was unmatched and a heart that never stopped giving. Alicia's passion for life was evident in everything she did. Her love for plants reflected her nurturing nature, as she cared for them with the same dedication she gave to her family. A fan of scary movies, she enjoyed the thrill and excitement they brought, often sharing this pastime with those she loved. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and She loved to dance. Described as beautiful, strong, firm, kind, generous, fearless, blunt, and meticulous, Alicia was a woman who spoke her mind and told it as it was. Her home, yard, and vehicle were always kept immaculate, a testament to her attention to detail and pride in her surroundings. She gave her time, her love, and her resources without expecting anything in return. She was a guiding light, a pillar of strength, and a source of unconditional love. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
