Andelia H. Munguia

Andelia Munguia, age 70, passed away on November 10, 2012. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Andelia graduated from Roy Miller High School. She received her Associates degree at Del Mar College and then earned a Bachelors' degree at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. She taught Math and Science at Mirando City High School and West Oso High School. She worked for over 25 years for the State of Texas Health and Human Services Commission. She retired on November 30, 2000. She enjoyed her retirement by dedicating her life to her family and to God. She was a member of Glad Tidings Church. Andelia is preceded in death by her parents, Isidoro and Josefa Hernandez; brother, Juan Jose Hernandez; and sisters, Margarita Dives and Evenlina H. Martinez. She leaves behind her loving son, Jose Isaac (Lee Ann) Munguia; brother, Heriberto Hernandez; grandchildren, RJ Morin, Christian Munguia, and Christopher Munguia; numerous nephews, nieces and other extended family. In lieu of flowers please make donations in care of Andelia H. Munguia to Coastal Community and Teachers Credit Union. The family will be receiving friends at Trevino Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 9:00 am; with a Prayer Service to be held at 11:00 am at that same morning.
