Andres Alonso Martinez, Jr., born on November 24, 1979, in Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on November 28, 2025, in Austin, Texas. Known for his vibrant personality and deep-rooted love of family and tradition, Andres led a life full of joy and cherished moments.
Throughout his life, Andres nurtured a passion for cooking and barbecuing, often bringing friends and family together around the grill. He enjoyed the thrill of watching football, proudly supporting his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Music played a significant role in his life, as he delighted in dancing and sharing those moments with loved ones. Additionally, his calm nature found solace while fishing, where he often sought peace and a connection to nature.
Andres is survived by his parents, Andres Alonso Martinez, Sr. and Diana Martinez; his siblings, Michael Adrian Martinez and Samantha Lucille Lucio; his beloved grandma, Lucia Castillo; as well as extended family who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his grandma, Oralia Martinez.
The legacy of joy and warmth that Andres leaves behind will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Andres will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and friend whose spirit will forever enrich the lives of those who loved him.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St @ Port Ave, accompanied by recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM. The following day, Monday, December 8, 2025, Liturgy of the Word will begin at 10:00 AM, at Treviño Funeral Home. Andres will be laid to rest at Seaside Memorial Park at 11:30 AM, where he will find his eternal rest.
