Andres Zuniga Ramon

Andres Zuniga Ramon, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2024, at the age of 38. Born on February 2, 1986, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Andres was known for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and selfless nature.

Andres is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester Ramon and Candelaria Martinez; his brothers, Raymundo Martinez, Sylvester Ramon Jr.; and his nephew, Jonathan Martinez.

He is survived by his children, Andrew Ray Ramon, Jordan Ramon, Emmanuel Ramon, and Destiny Garcia; his siblings, Ricardo Martinez Jr., Robert (Sandra) Martinez, and Corina Diaz; his nephews, Matthew Martinez, Ricardo Martinez III, and Marcial Diaz III; and his nieces, Hailey Martinez and Ashley Diaz.

A proud graduate of Ray High School, Andres was a man of many passions. His love for the game of pool was evident to all who knew him, as he spent many enjoyable hours perfecting his craft and competing in pool leagues. Andres's outgoing personality made him a natural at the sport, as he effortlessly combined his competitive spirit with a sense of camaraderie and fun.

Beyond the pool halls, Andres was a true beacon of joy and generosity in his community. He relished any opportunity to gather with family and friends, always ensuring that those around him felt welcomed and valued. His laughter was a familiar and comforting sound at family gatherings, and his willingness to lend a helping hand was unmatched.

Andres's legacy is one of kindness and humor. He had the rare ability to lighten the mood in any room with his quick wit and playful jokes. Yet, it was his selflessness that truly defined him. Andres gave so much of himself to others, often putting the needs and happiness of those he loved above his own.

As we mourn the loss of such a remarkable man, we also celebrate the incredible life he lived. Andres Zuniga Ramon touched the lives of many and left behind a trail of cherished memories that will continue to inspire and comfort us all. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will remain a guiding light for his family and friends.

Andres’s family will receive condolences on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave.; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. Services will conclude that evening.
