Andres "Andy" Garcia Gonzales

Andres “Andy” Garcia Gonzales, aged 69, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 21, 1954, in the same vibrant city, Andy's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and enduring memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.

Andy is preceded in death by his loving parents, Andres and Maria Gonzales and Elias and Andrea Garcia, and his nephew, Lawrence “Sonny” Silva.

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Tracey (Santos) and Teresa (Greg); son, Andy (Cathy); grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Cesar (Christina), Carlos (Desirea), Elias (Ashley), Santos (Marylynn), Mariandrea (Ethan), Andrea (TJ), Andrew, Adrian (Salyann), and Joaquin; 32 great-grandchildren, and 1 more that he prayed to see be born. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Andy was a sport fanatic loving his Dallas Cowboys, L.A. Lakers, and N.Y. Yankees. Andy instilled his love for sports in his daughter, Tracey and grandsons, Cesar and Carlos. He loved BBQing while watching his sports with his family, listening to Tejano music, and dancing the night away with Tracey.

Andy will truly be missed, and his family will forever cherish the best memories he gave them. Andy was a US Army veteran and was a sound engineer for local bands, Manana Band, Bobby Naranjo y Dirrecion, and Tonka y Libra.

Andy’s family will receive condolences on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St., from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM; with a Holy Rosary to recited at 7:00 PM. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Treviño Funeral Home at 9:30 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 AM.

Honoring Andres as pallbearers are his grandsons, Cesar, Carlos, Elias, Santos, Andrew, and Adrian.
