Angelita L. Reyes

Angelita L. Reyes was called home on Monday, November 12, 2018, at the age of 78. She was a dedicated employee of CCISD in the Food Service Department for 20 years. Angelita enjoyed making her weekly trips to Wal-Mart, sitting on her front porch with her Cheetos and Coca-Cola, baking, and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Angelita will be deeply missed by all whom knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan B. Reyes; son, Julian L. Silvas; grandson, Guadalupe M. Silvas, III; granddaughter, Isabel Silvas; parents, Tomas and Maria Lopez; brothers, Tomas (Elisa) Lopez, Jr., Julian Lopez, and Hector Lopez.

Angelita is survived by her daughter, Rosemary (Wayne) Schiller; son, Guadalupe L. (Sylvia) Silvas; her daughter-in-law, Sandra Silvas; sisters, Connie Lopez and Margarita (Manuel) Alvarez; sisters-in-law, Cruz Lopez and Evita Lopez; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be Albert Montelongo, Rey Montelongo, David Peña, Julian Lopez, Juan Manuel Alvarez, and Ryan Alejandre.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, November 18, 2018, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. The funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 19, 2018, to Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 AM. Rite of committal and interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
