Anita Borrego Rivera

Anita B. Rivera, age 94, went to be with the love of her life on Thursday, October 29, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Guillermo A. Rivera; parents, Luis and Carmen Borrego; granddaughter, Cynthia Rivera; and numerous brothers and sisters. Anita leaves behind her loving children: Guillermo M. (Irma) Rivera, Richard B. (Pat) Rivera, David J. (Irene) Rivera, Thomas D. Rivera, Gloria J. Velasquez, Velma A. (Jeffery) Kolling; sister, Alicia Recio; sister-in-law, Mary Rivera; very close niece, Licha R. (Jorge) Salazar; 16 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends at Treviño Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, from 3 pm to 9 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. A funeral chapel service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Treviño Funeral Home, at 9:00 am. Burial will follow at 10 am at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
