Ann M.
Villarreal
June 11, 1964 – April 19, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Margaret Mora Villarreal, who left this world on April 19, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on June 11, 1964, Ann’s life was a beacon of joy and warmth, qualities that made everyone who met her feel an immediate connection, as though they had known her forever.
Ann will forever be remembered for her radiant sense of humor and her remarkable ability to engage with others in a way that was genuine and heartfelt. Her laughter was infectious, and her kindness boundless, making her presence a cherished gift to all who had the privilege to know her.
One of the greatest joys in Ann’s life was her passion for cooking. She delighted in preparing her favorite dishes, savoring every moment she spent sharing meals with her beloved family. Her kitchen was a hub of love and delicious aromas, a place where memories were crafted alongside the flavors she so lovingly created. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart; each one was adored beyond words. Bryan M. Lerma Jr., Xavier A. Lerma, Christopher B. Villarreal Jr., Jax A. Villarreal, Leo J. Villarreal, Enzo J. Villarreal, Ozzy R. Villarreal, and Hazel A. Villarreal meant the world to her, and she invested deeply in their lives with unlimited love and warmth.
Ann’s family was her compass and joy throughout her life. She is survived by her devoted children, Valerie Marie Mora Sanchez and Christopher Villarreal (Victoria Villarreal). Her life partner, Armardo Arreaga Sr., stood by her side, sharing in life’s journey with deep affection and partnership. Ann also opened her heart generously to several stepchildren, enriching her family circle with acceptance and love. She was a beloved sister to Alida Rosemarie Quintero, Juan Leonardo Mora Jr. (Elsa Mora), and Danny Frank Mora. The presence of numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews further reflects the broad and loving family that surrounded her.
Ann’s spirit is also intertwined with loving memories of those who preceded her, including her mother, Alida B. Reyna, and her father, Juan Leonardo Mora Sr. The loss of her son, Antonio Leo Villarreal, and her dear grandson, angel baby Asher Amor Rodriguez, leaves a poignant mark on the hearts of the family but also strengthens the legacy of love and remembrance that Ann cherished deeply.
Her passing leaves a void that will be felt profoundly by all who knew her. Yet, the legacy of Ann Margaret Mora Villarreal endures a legacy of laughter, hospitality, and an extraordinary capacity to love and connect. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered, not only for the joy she brought into our lives but for the beautiful, enduring spirit that touched each of us.
May we all find comfort in the memories of her joy and the warmth of the love she shared so unconditionally. Ann’s life was a tapestry of kindness, humor, and devotion, and her influence shines on, lighting the way for all who had the honor to call her family and friend.
