Anthony Quiroz Cueva, born on March 18, 1981, in the vibrant city of Corpus Christi, peacefully passed away on April 6, 2026. His departure leaves an aching void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Anthony was a man whose deepest passions were his beloved family and the sports that brought him joy and camaraderie throughout his life.
He was a devoted companion to Kimberly Soliz, who stood faithfully by his side. Together, they shared a life filled with laughter, love, and unbreakable bonds. Anthony’s heart was also enriched by his children—daughters, Alyiah Cueva, Dezirae Cueva, and Adelyna Hernandez, as well as sons, Joe Cueva and Jordan Cueva—who were the pride and joy of his life. Their memories, smiles, and his unwavering support for them are a testament to the loving father he was. He also cherished his role as a grandfather to one precious grandchild, Ezyrah Duarte, whose presence brought him infinite delight.
Anthony’s family circle extended beyond his children and grandchild. He was lovingly cared for by his mother, Alicia Quiroz, whose nurturing spirit helped shape the man he became. His brother, Mark Anthony Cantu, remained a close and treasured part of his life, a bond built on shared childhood memories and unwavering loyalty. Anthony’s world also included numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, each carrying a part of his warmth and spirit in their hearts.
The joy Anthony found outside his family was equally vibrant. A passionate fan of the NFL, his favorite team was the Texans, a source of countless thrilling moments and spirited conversations. His love for sports also included an enthusiasm for the NBA and the Astros, teams that he followed with keen interest and excitement. Evenings often found him tuned into ESPN, engrossed in the latest stories of the leagues he loved. Beyond watching, he enjoyed the hands-on pleasure of barbequing, a pastime that combined his love of good food and good company, often bringing family and friends together in celebration.
Anthony’s life was one marked by love, laughter, and loyalty—a man who treasured his family above all and found joy in shared moments, whether at a game, a grill, or simply being present with those he loved. His memory will forever be a guiding light for his companion Kimberly, his children, grandchild, mother, brother, and the extended family who will carry his spirit with them through every season.
Though Anthony has left us too soon, the imprint of his kindness, the echoes of his laughter, and the strength of his love endure. He will be deeply missed but eternally remembered by all whose lives he touched.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St, Corpus Christi, TX 78405, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that evening.
