Antonia Z. Garza

Antonia Z. Garza, age 89, was called home on Saturday, March 9, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Antonia was born on May 10, 1927 to her parents, Antonio and Manuela Zamora. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, wife, grandmother, aunt, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting with them. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed gardening. She was a dedicated worker in many fields such as; owner of Toni’s Day Care Center; she was also a coach for Little Miss Kickball for many years.

Antonia was proceeded in death by her parents, Antonio & Manuela Zamora; her former husband, Hilo Del Bosque; sons-in-law, Joel Tijerina and Roberto Castillo; granddaughter, Rachel Vela; brothers, Juan Zamora and Casario Zamora.

She is survived by her husband, Juan Garza Jr. of Alice; daughters, Evangelina Tijerina, Lupita (David) Black, Rosalinda Castillo, Antonia Belasquez, and Rebecca Garza; sons, Hilo (Candice) Del Bosque, Henry (Belinda) Garza, David (Lorensa) Garza, Juan Garza lll; sister; Isabel Schlicht; 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers; Michael Tijerina, Joel Tijerina, Gabriel Tijerina, Henry Garza, Marty Del Bosque, Joe Robert Castillo, Danny Castillo, David Del Bosque.

The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, March 12, 2017, from 4 to 9 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St.; with a Prayer Service to be recited at 7 PM. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 13, 2017, at Trevñio Funeral Home 120 E. Front St, Alice, Texas. Interment to follow at Old Collins Cemetery.
