Antonia Ramirez Hill

Antonia Ramirez Hill, a beacon of light and joy, entered eternal rest on March 27, 2024, at the age of 89. She was born in Alice, Texas, on January 16, 1935, to her parents, Francisco Ramirez Sr., and Antonia Ruiz. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her and loved her. Antonia attended the Alice Independent School District elementary and junior high schools, where she received the foundation of her education. Through her career as a dedicated salesperson and clerk, she touched many people with her warm smile and made many friends in those she served. She was not only committed to her work, but also to her faith community as an active Jehovah's Witness member, where she found strength and purpose. Antonia had a love for dance that was contagious, a voice for singing, and a thirst for travel. Her adventurous spirit was matched only by her gentle demeanor, making her a joy to be around and a friend to everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Ramirez Sr., and Antonia Ruiz; her brothers, Raul (Aurora) Davila, Israel (Esther) Davila, Joe Davila, and Efrain Ramirez Sr.; as well as her sister-in-law, Connie Zamora and brother-in-law, Ricardo Trevino. Antonia is also survived by her sons, Martin (Diana) Salinas, Roberto L. Hill, and John (Ruth) Hill; her siblings, Juan Zamora, Faustino (Rosa) Zamora, Francisco (Zenaida) Ramirez, and Benilde Trevino; sisters-in-law Jovita Ramirez and Juanita Davila, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends, all of whom were touched by her gentle and caring nature.

Antonia Ramirez Hill's passing is felt deeply by her family and friends, her story is one of love, family, and faith and her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.

Antonia’s family will have memorial visitation on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St.; with a Talk to begin at 10:00 AM. An Inurnment will follow at Old Collins Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
