Antonio M. Serrano, Sr.

Antonio Marquez Serrano Sr went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at the age of 97. He peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Corpus Christi on September 2, 1923, where he lived a long and fun-filled life. He retired from the City of Corpus Christi Wastewater Department and enjoyed eating oysters and dancing.  He will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his children, Antonio Serrano Jr, Carolina Serrano, and Tony Serrano; his parents, Juan Serrano and Narcissa Serrano; and siblings, Pedro Serrano, Ignacio Serrano, Martha Anzaldua, Carmen Besinaz, and Natividad Serrano.

He is survived by his children, Martha Martinez, Alma Linda Ruiz (Albert), Mary Beisler, Maria Ceniceroz, Onecimo Cruz (Romelia); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave.; with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with rite of committal and interment following at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
