Arnold “Nolde” T. Cadena was born March 7, 1950 to Fernando Cadena and Blanca Trevino Cadena. He passed away on March 15, 2018 at the age of 68. Arnold was a devoted family man and loved spending time with them. He also enjoyed drinking with his friends and preparing barbecue for everyone. He also loved playing pool, poker and dancing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Arnold is preceded in death by his parents; Fernando Cadena and Blanca Trevino Cadena and one sister, Emma Newby.
Survivors left to cherish his memories are his loving wife; Gloria Cadena; daughter; Melissa (Robert) Alvarez; sons: Arnold Cadena, Jr. and Adrian Cadena; sisters; Emilia Grau, Estella Guzman, Ester Lopez, Lydia Gonzalez, Amada Lopez and Tina (Claudio) Hinojosa; brothers; Norbert (San Juana) Cadena, Amando (Zoila) Cadena, Noe (Juanita) Cadena, and nephew/brother, Martin (Terry) Lopez.
Arnold is also survived by 10 wonderful grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive condolences on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St., from 5 to 9 PM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6 PM. Funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 9:30 on Monday, March 19, 2018 to St. Joseph Mission of Palito Blanco Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM with interment to follow at Cadena Cielo Azul Cemetery in Palito Blanco, Texas.
