Aurora "Annette" Cantu

Aurora Cantu, lovingly know as Annette, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. She was an employee of Berry Bay Contractors for 18 years as the main recruiter. Annette took pride in her job and will be dearly missed by her co-workers. She always was available to help anyone in need of work. Family members remember her as a fun loving, kind hearted, generous, beautiful soul, daughter, sister, mother, and friend who loved to dance to Juan Gabriel. Annette was a joyful person always smiling and no one ever had a dull moment in her presence. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dalia C. Cruz; brother, Gary J Cruz; paternal grandparents, Matilde Cruz Sr. and Socorro M. Cruz; and maternal grandparents, Cristobal Cardona and Ercilia Cardona. She is survived by her sons, Jesus A. Cantu of Orange Grove, Jeffrey J. Cruz Carrasco of Orange Grove; daughter, Dalia Chloe Carrasco (Chandler Galbraith fiancé) of Alice; father, M R Cruz of Alice; sister, Yvette C. Garza (Alfredo Garza) of Alice, brothers; Ronaldo Cruz (Veronica Sanchez) of Alice and Adrian M. Cruz of Alice; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E Front St., on Sunday, September 18, 2016, from 4-8 PM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6 PM. Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, September 19, 2016, at 3:30 PM. Burial will follow at Family Cemetery at 361 Cr 353 Orange Grove, TX. Pallbearers will be Ronaldo Cruz, Jeffrey J. Cruz Carrasco, Alfred Garza Jr., Eloy Garza, AJ Cruz, Daniel Perez Jr., Marcos J. Cruz Jr., and Joel Cruz.
