Aurora De La Garza

Aurora De La Garza passed away on Monday, April 08, 2019, at the age of 85. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Aurora will be deeply missed by all whom knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo De La Garza, Sr., and parents, Roberto Garza and Maria De Jesus Vela.

Among those left to cherish her memory are her children, Alfredo De La Garza, Jr., Maria E. Thomas, Abelardo De La Garza, Alma E. Garcia, Rosario Del Fierro, Leticia De La Garza, Linda Piñeda, and Michael Piñeda, Jr.; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, April 14, 2019, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a prayer service to begin at 6:00 PM. A chapel service will take place at 11:30 AM on Monday, April 15, 2019, at Treviño Funeral Home. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 12:30 PM to Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery for a Rite of Committal and Interment.
