Beatriz Garcia Tyminski

Beatriz Garcia Tyminski, left us to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 15, 2016. Beatriz was born on December 1, 1931 to the late Eusebio Garcia and Virginia Cavazos Garcia, of Orange Grove, Texas. She became a Registered Nurse at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas in 1952. From 1952- 1958 she worked at Memorial Hospital, with Dr. Hector P. Garcia as one of his nurses. She also served as a GI Forum Member, traveling with him to different parts of the state to promote his work. Later in life she worked for the Texas Department of Health and Human Services for several years. She worked as a volunteer nurse for the Mission of Mercy and Doctors Regional Hospital before her death. Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. Henry Tyminski; and brother, Eusebio Garcia, Jr. She is survived by her three children, of whom she was very proud of all their accomplishments: Beatrice (Matthew) B. Marek, M.D., Hermina (Wael Alsaffar) Tyminski, M.D., and Henry (Bertha) Tyminski, Jr., D.D.S.; her two step-daughters, Mary (Don Rider) Tyminski, and Delora (Nels) Johansen; five grandchildren; sister, Estella Steele; brothers, Roger (Victoria) Garcia, Carlos (Alma) Garcia, and Victor (Marcie) Garcia. The family will be receiving friends, for a Holy Rosary at 10 am and Mass from 10:30 am to 12 pm, on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2045 18th Street Corpus Christi, TX. (near the intersection of Baldwin & Staples), cremation will follow.
