Belinda Cavazos, affectionately known as Bell, age 54, of Alice, Texas, passed away on July 19, 2025, after battling a short time with cancer; she is leaving a legacy of love and compassion. Bell was born on December 8, 1970, to Vicente B. Sanchez and the Late Margarita Sanchez. She was a devoted mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt, niece, and friend to many. Bell’s vibrant spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Bell worked at a hospitality house for a couple of years as a CNA and worked at McDonald’s for a while after that. She then went on to be a stay-at-home mom where she loved and enjoyed listening to Siggno and other music, being with her sons, and being with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Alberto Cavazos; father-in-law, Rene Cavazos; mother-in-law, Minerva Cavazos; mother, Margarita Sanchez; brothers-in-law, Lee Cavazos and John Corona.
Left behind to cherish fond memories are her two sons, Luis Alberto Cavazos Jr. and Vincent Cavazos; her father, Vicente B. Sanchez; her brother, Luis (Chivo) Sanchez; her sisters, Josie (Eleazer) Garces and Erica (Angela) Benavides; her pride and only granddaughter, Kalila Rae Cavazos; and several nephews and nieces that she loved as her own.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped with donations, fundraisers, and any and all small gestures.
Bell’s family will receive condolences on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Treviño Funeral Home Alice, 120 E. Front St., from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM; with a Prayer Service will be held at 1:00 PM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Roberson-Collins Cemetery.
Honoring Bell as pallbearers will be Adrian Valerio, Alberto Salazar, Jay Longoria, Mark Corona, Jonathan Cavazos, Justin Cavazos, and Eric Saravia.
