Bertha Alice Torres

Bertha Alice Torres passed away on May 17, 2021 at the age of 67.  She was a loving mother, niece, cousin, and friend.  She will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isabel Godoy Garcia and Alexis Benjamin Garcia; maternal grandparents, Sebastian Godoy and Maria Godoy; and paternal grandparents, Inocensio Garcia and Consuelo Garcia.

Bertha is survived by her son, Benjamin Torres; maternal uncle, Sebastian Godoy; paternal uncle, Sonny Garcia; and numerous cousins.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; with a prayer service to begin at 6:00 PM.  A chapel service will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021, at Treviño Funeral Home at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

The family would like to send a special thanks to the nurses and staff at CareStat Home Health Care Services; especially Tiffany. Also, thank you to Ester at Paragon Health Care.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be Tomas Munoz, Carlos L. Garcia Sr., Rafael Garcia Sr., Jose Cruz Vallejo Jr., Heriberto Rangel Jr., Andrew Mora, and Cory Huddleston. Honorary pallbearer will be Osvaldo Lozya.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
