She loved life and was a very independent lady. She loved BBQ's and family get togethers' where she could tell us of her youth growing up in Corpus Christi. Bertha had a great sense of humor and it showed when she would laugh and tell funny tales of different things that all her kids did growing up. Her smile, her laugh, and the gleam in her eyes while she sat there with us and spoke will be missed the most. Her life wasn't without its own tragedies; however, but she never let them show in front of anyone as she remained strong for all her family. Bertha was a giver. In all she did; she meant well. Those who had the opportunity to know her knew that if it was only love that she had left; Love is what you would receive. It is never easy to say goodbye to someone so loved; So we pray that one day we may see her once again in the Glory of God if He so wills it. Gramma Bertha will be laid to rest in the days to come. Her funeral arrangements are entrusted to the family of Trevino Funeral Home with Mr. Treviño directing services. All funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Visitation will begin at 7 a.m. at Trevino Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Cathedral. Holy Burial Rights will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
