Blanca Deleon Gonzalez

Blanca DeLeon Gonzalez, born October 21, 1934, in Corpus Christi, Texas, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Blanca will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her family.

Blanca attended Corpus Christi High School and went on to work with Civil Service for the United States Navy for many years until her retirement. Blanca and Andres were both involved in the “De Colores” movement for many years.

Blanca is preceded in death by her parents, Eva and Anastacio Deleon Sr., and her beloved husband of 32 years, Andres Aurelio Gonzalez. She is also proceeded in death and reunited with her brothers, Anastacio DeLeon Jr. and Roberto DeLeon, and sister, Emma DeLeon Vargas.

Blanca DeLeon Gonzalez leaves her loving memories to her family, two daughters, Graciela Villanueva Perez (Reynaldo G. Perez Jr.) and Julia Villanueva Sifuentes, and four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. With her union with Andres Aurelio Gonzalez, Blanca leaves her loving memories with their children/stepchildren, Lupita (Eliazar) Trevino, Ana (David) Meza, Ruth Gonzalez, Andy (Adela) Gonzalez, Sofie (Chris) Chapa, Mary Chapa, Angie (Tim) Russell, Stan (Letty) Gonzalez, Petra Gonzalez, Monica (David) Martinez, Carlos (Mari) Gonzalez, Frank (Lorraine) Gonzalez, and 42 Grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to all those who visited, cared for, loved, and offered prayers for Blanca.

Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.

Blanca’s family will receive condolences on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
