Brandon Rios, Sr. entered eternal life on September 12, 2025, and was born on October 27, 1994, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a man who embraced life with enthusiasm and shared his passions with those he loved.
Brandon received most of his education through the Alice Independent School District where he attended up to the eleventh (11) grade and was a Coyote fan. The family moved to San Diego, Texas, in his senior year and he graduated from San Diego High School, Vaquero graduation Class of 2014.
Brandon was kindhearted and generous with his time and talents. A true jack of all trades, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether someone reached out for help on Facebook or encountered trouble on the road, Brandon would take the time to assist; whether it meant changing a tire, jump-starting a car, or solving any other problem. He did all this selflessly, never expecting anything in return.
Brandon had a deep love for the outdoors, often visiting Lake Findley almost every day with his children. They would take walks there, enjoying the beauty of the birds, trees, and natural surroundings. He also spent countless hours engaging in activities like hunting and fishing, eagerly looking forward to beach outings where he could play and have fun with his kids, embracing his inner child.
Whether it was roping or firing up the BBQ pit, Brandon found joy in the simple moments spent with his family. One of his favorite pastimes was playing with his sister Andrea, practicing his roping skills by playfully tossing the rope at her as she walked by.
A man of strong faith, Brandon lived out his beliefs through his actions and deeds. Grateful for his many blessings, he volunteered his time and service with the San Diego Fire Department, never hesitating to put his life on the line to help and protect his friends and neighbors.
Brandon's memories will live on through his wife, Tiffany Marie Ruiz-Rios; his parents, Marissa (Rene) Vela; and his biological father Arnulfo (Heather) Rios. His children, Kyndall, Brandon Jr., Brody, and Kolton, brought music to his ears when they called him “DAD”, they were the pride and joy of his life. His sisters, Andrea Vela and Clarissa (Andres) Ponce; aunt, Maribel Gonzalez; nieces and nephews, Aryssa, Larissa, Madison, Makayla, Serena, Isaiah; great niece, Maelani; his mother-in-law, Lupita Garza; brothers-in-law, Eric (Amanda) Perez, Kevin Aaron Perez, Rafael Garza Jr.; sister-in-law, Tashia (Pete) Garibay; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends also mourn his passing.
He is proceeded in death by maternal grandparents, Tomas and Yolanda Gonzalez; paternal grandmother, Isabel Rios; his nephew, Daniel Ponce; uncle, Ruben Vela; and his father-in-law, Ruben Garza.
