Camilo Nava Garcia Jr., age 66, on March 15, 2014 was called to be with the Lord at his home where he was surrounded by family and friends. He courageously battled a heart condition for over 20 years.
He attended Mary Carroll High School and served in the US ARMY (Vietnam Era). He retired in the early 1990’s; and was a member of Crosspoint Church. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Camilo T. Garcia Sr.; and Joaquina Nava Garcia
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Virginia “Ginny” Garcia; children, Laura (JD) Gray, Edith T. Gonzales, Camilo H. (Maria) Garcia III, Thomas J. Trevino, Arturo J. (Frances) Garcia, Adan J. Garcia, Robert Camilo Garcia; 20 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; sisters, Lucy (Henry) Casas, Mary Jones, Margarita (Felix) Riojas, and Rosa Garcia; brothers, Jose Jesus (late wife, Cyndi) Garcia; Richard (Lulu) Garcia; Jose Luis (Mary Alice) Garcia; Alfredo N. (Melissa) Garcia, Tony (Magda) Garcia, and Maximo (Pat) Garcia
The family will be receiving friends at Trevino Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 3 pm to 9 pm; with a Prayer service to be held at 7 pm. A funeral chapel service will be held at Trevino Funeral Home at 9:30 am on Friday, March 21, 2014; burial will follow Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
