Carla V Hernandez

Carla V. Hernandez of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on February 27, 2022, at the age of 78. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Carla was a devoted Catholic. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Isabel Vasquez, and her son, Michael John Hernandez.

Left behind to cherish Carla’s memories are her husband of 52 years, Reynaldo Hernandez; sons, Reynaldo Hernandez, Jr and Gabriel Hernandez; step granddaughter, Cassie Larios; siblings, Concepcion (Alejandro) Irigoyen, Delia (Arnulfo +) Rodriguez, and Maria Louisa (Frank +) Lackie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, March 7, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 11:00 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.

Carla’s family would like to express a special thanks to her princess, Cheryl, for all the love and devotion she gave our mother.

Pallbearers will be Sam Franco, Ozzy Ahumada, Frank Andrade, Rene Hernandez, Eric Guzman, and Edward Alaniz.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending services at this facility and at the church.
