Carlos Aguas

Ignen Cleofas “Carlos” Aguas, 88, of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away on February 4, 2017. He was born on September 8, 1928 in Sydney, Nebraska to the late Ramon and Inez Aguas. The son of migrant workers, his family returned to their home in Mexico City not long after his birth. He returned to the United States in his early twenties, where he met and married the love of his life, Frances Robles, on Nov. 02, 1958 and raised 12 children together.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ramon, Jesus, Luis, sister Clemencia, sister-in-law Carmen Juarez, brother-in-law Alfonso Robles, and son-in-law Ben Garcia III.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances, children, Gina (Marty), Laura (Luis), Mary, Martha, Dolores (the late Ben), Christina (Prakash), Carlos (Debbie), Alex (Jeanette), Rene (Bertha), Miguel (Michelle), Mark (Elizabeth), and Jorge (Maria), several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Carmela Ortega of Mexico City, sister-in-law Sara, brother-in-law Joaquin Robles; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Christ the King Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 10:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church with Internment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
