Carlos Davila Villarreal passed away on September 28, 2020 at the age of 81. He retired from CCISD and had worked as Head Custodian at Driscoll Middle School for 36 years. Carlos was an avid bowler for most of his life; a pastime that he loved sharing with his wife, Gloria. He was a humble and hard-working man that loved building things with his hands and was a good husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ygnacio and Carlota Davila Villarreal. Carlos is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gloria Villarreal; daughter, Rosalie (Adan) Zamora; son, Rene Villarreal; grandchildren, Ethan (Anna) Zamora, Nathan (Sandra) Zamora, Alyssa (Gonzalo) Quintero, Adan Jr. (Russell Wyatt) Zamora, Amada Villarreal, and Carlos Javier (Kaylyn) Villarreal; great-grandchildren; Ethan’s, Andy Roe, Vida Izadora, Bane Anthony, Ethan Xander, Kenneth Carlos, Jonathan Leonirez, and Charlie Rose; Nathan’s, Sabrina, Drake Matthew, and Mason Kane; Alyssa’s, Andrea, Allison, Gonzalo, and Adeline; Carlos’, Esmeralda, Gisella, and CJ; and Amanda’s, Albert, Adriana, and Abraham; sisters, Carolina Villarreal and Cynthia Ann (Abel) Gutierrez; nieces, Monica (Dominic) Gutierrez and Idolina (Chris) Brasher; nephew, Marcus (Wendy) Gutierrez; and brother-in-law, Jacob (Connie) Muñoz.
A wake will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port. Services will conclude that afternoon and a cremation will follow.
Face masks must be worn and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
