Our beloved mother, Carmen Alba Trevino, passed away peacefully February 8, 2021 with her sons, Francisco Trevino De Leon and Bernardo Trevino De Leon, by her side. She was born in Edna, Texas on July 27, 1920 to her parents, Eulogio Trevino and Inez Alba Trevino.
Carmen was a simple, humble, and peaceful lady. She had a presence about her that was strong, yet she had a calm disposition. Carmen was the rock and precious pearl to all her family. She was a prayerful, spiritual lady who had a strong devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe and lived her faith through her actions giving of her time, talents, treasures, and always ready to help anyone in need. In her younger years, Carmen would walk to St. Joseph’s Church every Sunday to attend Holy Mass. In her later years, she always made sure to save her dollars and dimes throughout the year and her beloved son, Frank, would take her every end of the year to leave her annual tithing to St. Joseph Church’s Office. She enjoyed family gatherings, reading, and being outside with her plants and always seemed so happy and content with her life. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be truly missed.
Carmen is preceded in death by father, Eulogio Trevino; mother, Inez Alba Trevino; brothers, Bernardo Trevino and Efrain Silva; sisters Teresa T. Mallet, Alicia S. Torres, and Maria de la Luz Rodriguez; daughter-in-law, Norma Deleon; and sister-in-law, Louisa Trevino.
She is survived by her sons, Francisco Trevino De Leon Sr., Bernardo Trevino De Leon, and Eulogio Trevino De Leon; brothers, Jose Angel (Irene) Silva and Juan Manuel Cordova; sister, Graciela C. Vasquez; grandchildren, Francisco De Leon Jr., Carmen De Leon, Armando (Leticia) De Leon, Rachelle De Leon, Timothy (Kate) De Leon; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and extended family.
