Celestino "Tino" V. Rodriguez, Sr. died on November 15, 2013 at 88 years of life. He lived a long and productive life supporting his family and friends with self-sacrifice and hard work. He worked for many years as a carpenter and would proudly point out the homes and buildings that he helped construct. His appreciation of tools and wood craftsmanship was that of a man who appreciated the beauty of structure. At the same time, he enjoyed growing beautiful roses and loved cultivating the earth. Most of all, he was passionate about dancing and music. In short, Celestino was a man who embraced life and all of earth's beauty. Above all, he loved his children and his companion of 15 years, Ms. Ethyl, who always stood at his side. In his last days, his thoughts were not of himself but of his family. He is survived by his immediate family: companion and love of his life, Estoria; son, Eric (Terri) and family; son, Celestino, Jr. "Tino" (Nova) and family; daughter, Jo Ann Morin and family; daughter, Gina Rodriguez and family; daughter, Laura Peña (Bill Heintz); brother, Ynocencio and family; sister, Hermenia Bazan and family; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and many, many friends. Special thanks to family friends, Jim Ed Layton family, JD Langridge family, and Nora and all the great staff at Angel Bright Hospice. He is preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe G. Rodriguez. God has summoned him back, and now he is set free. The family will be receiving friends and family on Sunday, November 17, 2013, from 3:00 to 9:00 pm, with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm that same evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 18, 2013, at 12:00 noon at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Mark, Carlos, Celestino "Trey", Nicholas, Israel, and Oscar Rodriguez.
