Charles Smithwick Iii

Charles Smithwick III, a loving and gentle soul known for his courage, passed away on March 14, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on December 25, 1954, in San Diego, Texas, Charles' life was one of service and kindness. An Army veteran, Charles dedicated himself to his country with the same steadfastness he showed to his family and friends. His commitment to his fellow veterans was evident through his active involvement in various associations, where he forged lifelong friendships and left a legacy of honor and respect. He is preceded in death by his parents, Constance and Charles Smithwick Jr., and his sister, Veronica Smithwick-Clark. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his beloved daughter, Laura Ann Smithwick; his sister, Vera Mccord; and numerous nephews, cousins, and friends who were all touched by his warm presence. Charles' passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, yet his spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have felt his love and bravery.

Charles’ family will receive condolences on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave.; with a Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. Services will conclude that evening.
