Charlie B. Saenz III was born May 4, 1941. He gained his wings on April 8, 2026.

Charlie was a loving husband to his wife Maria Pilar Saenz. He was a great father to six children and two grandchildren he raised since birth.

Charlie served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962. He was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Band.

Charlie was the proud owner of Corpus Christi Power Tool & Repair, Inc for 44 years. He was a talented master power tool and electric motor technician. He enjoyed his work and his many loyal customers.

Charlie was a member of Kiwanis Club of Corpus Christi Bay. He was an avid hunter. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son, Sean Michael Saenz, his parents, Helen Saenz and Charlie B. Saenz II, and his brothers, Fred “Barney” Saenz and Oscar Ray Saenz.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Pilar Saenz, his sister, Josephine Castillo, his children, Patricia Herlinda Saenz, Maria Pilar Saenz-St. Clair (James), Maria Elena Garcia, Charlie B. Saenz IV (Irene), Marcus Rene Saenz (Elida), 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

We would like to thank all family members and friends who called, texted and came to visit while Charlie was in the hospital and in hospice care. We also want to thank Aadi Home Health & Hospice for the wonderful care they put in to make him comfortable in his final days.

Funeral Services are set for Monday, May 4, 2026. A mass will be held at 9:30 AM at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 S Padre Island Dr Corpus Christi, TX 78415. To be followed with services at 11 AM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I-37 Corpus Christi, TX 78410. Please join us at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church Kasper Hall from 1-3 PM to celebrate Charlie’s life and his birthday.
