Chris Gutierrez

Christopher Arispe Gutierrez born on March 11, 1996 to Alma J. and David C. Gutierrez, Sr. passed away on January 1, 2018 at the age of 21.

Chris was in his Junior year at Texas A&M University-Kingsville where he was working towards his bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Crescencio Gutierrez, and his uncle, David Escobedo.

Chris is survived by his parents; brothers, David Jr. and Jason; maternal grandparents, Aldolfo and Lydia Arispe; paternal grandmother, Elma Gutierrez; aunts, Angie Escobedo, Annie (Bill) Hoipkemier, Mary Alston, Norma Rodriguez, and Rosie Gutierrez; uncle, Jose Carlos (Michelle) Gutierrez; cousins, Devina, David Allen and son, Ethan, and Daniel (Sara) Escobedo; and close friends, including Arjun Kamath and Zach Antosko – both of whom were considered brothers by Chris.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday, January 5, 2018, from 5 to 9 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 10 AM at Treviño Funeral Home. Internment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
