Cleotilde T. "Tila" Gonzalez

Cleotilde T. Gonzalez, age 93 years, passed away in Portland, Texas, on Thursday, April 1, 2021.

Cleotilde, called Tila by family and friends, was born on August 28, 1927, and was one of four children to her parents, Juan and Lupita Trevino of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Tila was a loving mother to her four children, Lydia Gonzalez, David T. Gonzalez Jr., Daniel T. Gonzalez, and Donald T. Gonzalez Sr., and the loving companion to Henry Acuna; all of whom have preceded her in death, and no doubt waiting to embrace her with open arms at their reunion.

Tila loved having a good time with family and friends and playing cards and dominos. Later in life, she loved to travel all over, with a special fondness for Las Vegas, NE. Tila loved her family very much, and always loved having her hair and nails done, even till the very end. She will be missed, tremendously.

She is survived by her younger sister, Yolanda Trevino; her grandchildren: Lydia Gonzalez, daughter of David and Luz Angelica Gonzalez, Donald T. Gonzalez Jr., Devon Alvarez, and David O. Gonzalez, all children of Donald and Sylvia Gonzalez; and her great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in our heart.
