Conception V. Trevino

It is with such deep sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved mother, Conception V. Trevino, who left us on October 28, 2024, at the age of 83. She lived in Corpus Christi, Texas for most of her life and had a passion for dancing with her husbands.

Conception worked at Nueces County Community Action Agency for 20 years where she was able to help the less fortunate and was a volunteer tax preparer during tax season. She was a wonderful mother who was always there for her two children when they needed her the most, always offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She was a cherished friend to many who knew her and was lucky to find the great love of three husbands.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Genaro Silvas; second husband, Roque Trevino; third husband, Anastacio Ordonez; mother, Gregoria B. Martinez; stepfather, Gregorio O. Martinez; brother, Gregorio R. Martinez; and father, Carlos Vasquez.

Conception leaves behind her daughter, Dolores Silvas; son, Genaro J. Silvas Jr. (Shawna); grandchildren, Zacharias P. Silvas (Celeste) and Erin L. Silvas; one great grandbaby (on the way); brother, Joe M. Martinez (Corina), sisters, Mary C. Leal (Javier), Gracie Shirley and, Rebecca J. Galabeas (Rojelio); nephews, Joey Martinez (Danielle) and Rojelio Galabeas II (Lindsey); nieces, Marcia Gonzales (Pete), Lisa M. Garcia (John), Erica M. Payne (Greg), Leticia M. Evans (Chad), Lori A. Ruiz (Orlando), Audrey M. Gonzalez (Daniel), Nicole Shirley, Sarah F. Shirley, and Amanda R. Elias (Solomon); and 13 great nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, and countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity.

Conception’s family will receive condolences on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM; with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 9:00 AM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. A reception will follow at Salinas Catering.
