Cornelia Thelma Salinas

Cornelia Thelma Salinas passed away on August 9, 2017 at the age of 65. She was born on July 30, 1952 to Joe and Trinidad Hoyt in Corpus Christi, TX. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Cornelia had a very loving and caring heart. She would open her arms and home to anyone who needed it. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Cornelia is preceded in death by her husband, Frederico Salinas, Sr. and her father, Joe A. Hoyt.

She is survived by her daughter, Christina S. Cortez; son, Frederico (Sonia) Salinas, Jr.; mother, Trinidad S. Hoyt; brothers, Leonard S.(Elva) Hoyt, Louis S. Hoyt, and Rudy S. (Cathy) Hoyt; 4 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.

The family will receive condolences from 12:30 am to 2:00 pm on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. at Port; followed by a Chapel Service at 2:00 pm. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park
