Daniel Campos

Daniel Campos passed away in Galveston, Texas on August 5, 2020 at the age of 45.  He was a loving father, grandfather, son, uncle, and friend.  Daniel had a heart of gold and he was always willing to help someone in need.  While he was in prison he saw this man crying after a service, Daniel walked up to him and asked him, "What’s the matter?". The man told Daniel he didn’t want to live anymore, so Daniel started talking to him and they became good friends.  Who knows what might’ve happened if Daniel hadn’t had a caring heart and hadn't taken the time to talk to him.  Daniel will be missed by all whom knew him and loved him. He was met in heaven by his paternal grandfather, Jesse Campos; maternal grandparents, Ildifonso and Gonzala Rodriguez; his favorite cousin, John David Allen; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Among those left to cherish his memory are his children, Daniel Campos Jr., Dominic Campos (Jaye Villarreal), D’Andrew Campos (Riley Miles), DeAsia Campos (Marcus Moya ), and Daniella Campos (Gabe García); grandchildren, Maddy, Dominic Jr., D’Andrew Jr., Marcus, Matthew, Azeriah, Adeya, Lupita, and Mia; his mother, Pat Campos; his father, David Campos; his paternal grandmother, Elisa Campos; siblings, David Campos Jr., Debra (Carlos) Campos-Velasquez, Donavan Campos; his favorite little niece, Jayla Velasquez; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM; with a holy rosary and funeral liturgy to begin at 1:00 PM. Services will conclude that afternoon.

Face masks must be worn and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
