Daniel David Davidson

Daniel David Davidson died on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at the age of 79, at the Ranch as he wanted.

He graduated from George West High School and served in the Army. His awards include: Expert Rifleman, Vietnam Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. When in Fort Lewis Washington, he was a Battalion Commander Driver and a Mail Clerk. He earned an Honorable Discharge without seeing action. Daniel worked 12 years at Flowers Machine Shop and retired from the Alice Independent School District after 30 years. He was a loving husband and father, a strong man, and everyone in the family looked up to him.

Daniel is proceeded in death by his father, Edward Davidson; his mother, Elena Gonzalez Davidson; and his sister, Rose Marie Davidson Garza.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Alicia E. Davidson; daughter, Leah Marie Davidson (Jaime) Aparicio; brothers, William H. Davidson and Edward (Lisa) Davidson; ten (10) nieces and nephews and sixteen (16) grandnieces and grandnephews.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, January 28, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Trevino Funeral Home,120 E. Front St.; with a Prayer Service by Pastor Steven Privratsky to be held at 11:30 a.m.  A funeral cortege will depart the funeral chapel at 1:00 p.m. to Clegg Cemetery in Live Oak County for Rite of Committal and Interment.

Honoring him as pallbearers are John E. Davidson, William H. Davidson Jr., William J. Davidson, John R. Gonzalez, Mark Davidson, and Edward Davidson.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
