David Garcia, a man of deep faith and boundless love, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024, in San Antonio, TX. Born on February 25, 1963, in Corpus Christi, TX, David's life was a testament to the strength of family, the joy of passion, and the fulfillment of hard work. His journey through life was marked by the love he shared with his family, the respect he earned through his career, and the joy he found in his many interests. David's early years in Corpus Christi laid the foundation for a lifetime of dedication and service. His work as a Superintendent/Construcion in the advertising industry was more than a job; it was a canvas upon which he displayed his tireless work ethic and creativity. David's knack for hanging billboards was not just about the craft but about the message and connection each advertisement brought to the community. Colleagues and friends often recognized him for his exceptional work achievements, and he took great pride in his contributions. Though a workaholic by nature, David's heart was always centered around his home and family. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Rosaura C. Garcia; a nurturing father to his daughters, April Marie Garcia, Didra Diane Garcia, and Monica Rayne Lugo; and a loving son to his stepmother, Isabel Garcia. He also embraced the role of stepfather with open arms to stepsons, Felix Sanchez and Alexander Hernandez, and stepdaughters, Amanda Hernandez and Victoria Hernandez. David's legacy continues through his sisters, Gracie Garcia (Rey) and Maria Ida Garcia (Jorge), and his cherished grandchildren, Mark Pereida, Melayna Pereida, Juan David Lopez, Jordan Lazo, Aliza rose Lugo, and Elijah Hernandez. He will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Garcia; his mother, Francis Briseno; and brothers, Danny Garcia and Juan Garcia Jr., whose memories he held close to his heart.
David's life was one of engagement and enthusiasm. As a former Little League baseball coach, he instilled the values of teamwork, discipline, and fair play in the hearts of young athletes. His love for the Dallas Cowboys was more than a pastime; it was a year-round celebration of camaraderie and competition. David's hobbies extended to the great outdoors, where he found peace and excitement in fishing and hunting. Wrestling matches were not just spectacles but episodes of storytelling that captured his imagination. Above all, David was a leader in his community and a man of strong Pentecostal faith. His belief in God's grace was unwavering, and it guided him through every aspect of his life. David's faith was a source of comfort and strength, not only for him but for all who knew him. He approached life's challenges with a faith-filled heart, knowing that every moment was a part of a greater plan. Those who knew David will remember him for his loving nature and his big heart. He could light up a room with his smile and fill it with laughter with his quick wit. His sweet tooth was legendary, and he never passed up an opportunity to share a treat with a friend or a grandchild. David's life was a reflection of the values he held dear: love, faith, and commitment to family. David Garcia leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and faith. He will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him and will be forever remembered as a pillar of strength, a beacon of kindness, and a true servant of God. His spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, and his memory will be cherished for generations to come. As we bid farewell to David, we take solace in knowing that his journey has led him to eternal peace. David Garcia's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of devotion, integrity, and joy. As we celebrate his life and mourn his passing, we hold onto the cherished moments and the lessons he imparted. Rest in peace, David, and may your soul find everlasting joy in the embrace of the Lord.
