David Evans Johnson

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Rosella Trejo Johnson. David is survived by his daughters, Victoria Adel Johnson of Alice, Texas and Maggie Hopkins of Portland, Oregon; sons, John Michael Vasquez of Alice, Texas, Javier Humberto Vasquez of Alice, Texas, Aaron Matthew (Sarah) Vasquez of Laredo, Texas, and Mark Hopkins of Portland, Oregon; six grandchildren; sister, Ann (Wayne) Matlock of Kingsland, Texas; brothers, Bob (Janie) Johnson of Edmond, Oklahoma and Bill Dossat of Kingsland, Texas. Other family members include his mother and father-in-law, Juan G. Trejo and Elma D. Trejo; and other family members. David was a beloved husband, father, brother, co-worker, and friend. He will be sorely missed by all those who truly loved and knew him. David was previously employed with Halliburton, C&S Oil and Gas, and Sustainable Thermal Packaging. He was a friend to everyone; he was very patient and as easy going as anyone you would have ever met. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Christus Spohn Hospitals in Alice and Corpus Christi for the many acts of kindness demonstrated in David’s care; as well as, the prayers and concerns expressed for his daughter, Victoria, and his sister, Ann. The entire family is very grateful to all hospital staff members who helped comfort David and his family. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, December 5, 2016, from 5 to 9 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St.; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Rites of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Cremation will follow. Inurnment will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at 10:30 AM at Roberson Collins Cemetery. SERVICES
