David Clifford Saenz, age 59, passed away on January 26, 2014. David was a caring and free spirited person. He loved motorcycles, music, traveling, horse riding, and loved the Native American culture. David served in the US Air force as a pararescue jumper. He is well known for the courage he showed protecting the lives of others while making a positive impact on the power industry internationally. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, David Cantu Saenz and brother, Joel James Saenz. David is survived by his children, James David Saenz, Hunter Isaiah Saenz, Ciara Eva Saenz; brothers and sister, Gary Lee (Cynthia) Saenz, Raquel Yvette Sanchez, Michael Antony Saenz, Herbert Rice, and Gilbert Diaz; mother, Virginia Bowen; raised by Dora Saenz; numerous nephews, and nieces; friends, Paul Foley, and Chuck Riley; all his friends at Mitsubishi Power Systems; and many other close friends. The family will be receiving friends at Trevino Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 9 am to 12 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 12 pm. Cremation will follow.
