Delia P. Gomez

Delia P. Gomez, age 69, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015. She was born on June 13, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Angelita Pena, and husband, David A. Gomez. Delia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be dearly missed. Survivors include her three daughters: Debra (Gabriel Sr.) Alvarez, Doris (Luis) Morales, and Delma (Mike) Cruz; eight grandchildren: Gabriel Jr. (Lorraine) Alvarez, David Alvarez, Ariel (Ysreal) Barboza, Valerie, Alexis, and Luis Morales, and Christopher and Julian Cruz; two sisters, Irma (Hector) Uribe and Gloria (Louis) Morales; two brothers, Mike Pena and Roland Pena; four great-granchildren: Isaiah, Alaya, and Jordan Alvarez, and Ysreal Barboza Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Hospice New Century staff and Holmgreen Nursing Center for all their help and support. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port, from 3 to 9 pm; with a Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10 am. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
